History Of Ghar-E-Hira In Urdu
History Of Ghar-E-Hira In English
Ghar-e-Hira history holds a lot of
significance in Islam. Ghar-e-Hira is three kilometers away from the
northeast of the city of Makkah. It is situated on the Mountain called
Jabal-Al-Noor which is located on the way to Mina near Makkah. There is
nothing on the mountain except the un-grown thorny bushes. The peak of
mountain is also straight and slippery. It is opposite to the famous
mountain of Jabal-al-Shabeer. The cave is about 3.6 m long and 1.60 m
wide. Before prophecy, the Holy prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) used to worship
Allah here for days and nights. The first revelation was also sent upon
him in the cave of Hira that was:
“Read! (O’ Prophet) in the name of your Allah who created man with a piece of clotted blood. Read! And your God is very gracious who has taught man knowledge with the pen. The knowledge that was previously unknown to him.”
It was 27th of Ramadan and Prophet
(P.B.U.M) was forty years of age when the first revelation was sent to
him. It was the era when Makkah was suffering from darkness of ignorance
and illegalization. There was no respect for the poor and slaves.
Women, on the other hand, were treated in the most terrible manner. With
the start of Islam from Ghar-e-Hira, all bad norms started to eliminate
from the world. Islam showed the ways for living a peaceful and happier
life. According to Ibn-e-Hazam, Prophet (P.B.U.H) used to go there at
the will of Allah because there was no one to whom you (P.B.U.H) could
have followed going to the cave of Hira. At present people who go to
Makkah for the pilgrimage, visit the Cave of Hira whereas, it is not a
necessary part of pilgrimage. People love to go to this place only for
the curiosity to see the place where their beloved Prophet Hazrat
Muhammad (S.A.W) used to worship Allah. During pilgrimage, about 5000
people climb to the mountain daily to see Ghar-e-Hira.
Before this revelation, Prophet Muhammad
(S.A.W) was a trader by profession and he already proved himself to be
the honest, pious and a sacred personality. People know him from the
name of “Amin” and used to keep their secret things with Holy Prophet
(S.A.W). The entire life of our beloved prophet is the symbol of peace
and a great model for all of us to follow. All the solution of our
problems are vested with the teachings of Islam which started from the
Cave of Hira.
